Please contact us with any enquiry, although remember to check the FAQs below.  If we have a local dealer or partner, we can get you in touch with the best person to deal with, at the very least.

DEC Publishing

Because of the large variety of book types and distribution models that we deal with, it can seem daunting at times. We are teachers first, so our point of departure is always about the student, but also about our fellow teachers, and how best to get great learning materials into everyone's hands.  We will help you as best we can, but we are always happy to hear some good stories as well.

About Us

Dave Dolan - President
Dave has been teaching for over 25 years and holds a Masters in TESOL. After establishing an English school in Japan in 1993, his interests grew towards using technology to best serve the needs of students. DECP grew from that singular desire. Founded in Canada in 2011, Dave oversees a dedicated, international group.

Colin Bethell - Director of Digital Publishing
Colin is a qualified teacher and taught in the UK and Japan before embarking on a career in publishing. During the last 20 years, his publishing experience across Europe, N America and Asia has involved microfilm and fiche, as well as print and he has been selling, marketing and producing digital publishing since 1997. This diverse experience leaves him in a strong position to help publishers and educators transition successfully to the world of digital content and importantly to help them diagnose the appropriate timing and nature of such transition.

Martin Stack - Director of Educational Services
Martin has a Masters in Sociology (plus undergrad degrees in History and Sociology), has worked as the Director of an English Language school in Japan, in administration for Michigan State University, and is a natural fit as the Director of Educational Services. Textbooks and language materials are Martin's forte, as well as hands-on implementation of digital materials in a blended classroom.

Akiko Nishibori - Sales & Marketing (Japan)
Akiko is a certified teacher in music and English and has taught in Japan and in Canada for over 25 years. She is also a licensed guide interpreter. Akiko takes care of Sales & Marketing in Japan, and is most likely the first person you will talk to about a project for the Japanese market.

About Us

DEC Publishing produces digital books and helps publishers, authors, and content creators alike the opportunity to take the materials they have created, and deliver them to a global audience, in an interactive, digital form. Depending on the need, we can add audio, video, and testing/tracking to enhance the book, and contribute to the learning experience. We come from a teaching background, ensuring that educational, teacher and student needs are attended to and maintained.  Speed to market, pricing and scalability are primary movers for us.
